Location
Rosewood is situated at 20 High Street
on State Highway 6 in Greymouth on the central West Coast with
its breathtaking scenery and awesome activities. Rosewood is the
ideal base from which to explore the West Coast which is a must
for any traveller in New Zealand or for those just wanting to experience
something different while having a few days away from it all. The
West Coast offers an abundance of unspoiled scenic walkways and
rivers, rugged beaches, rain forests and glaciers, as well as 5
National Parks and one World Heritage Area. Greymouth is also the
terminus for the world famous TranzAlpine train from Christchurch
across the Southern Alps. We offer a Courtesy Pick up from the
Station or bus terminal.
Travelling by car we offer off-street parking.
If you're coming from either the north or the south, we are on
State Highway 6, 20 High Street, and just 2 doors from
the Fire Station.

Greymouth hosts an enticing range of activities only minutes
from the town centre, including the Art Gallery, History House
and the walk on the flood wall which protects the town from the
mighty Grey River.
Float through underground streams on a cave rafting
adventure. View Hectors dolphins, bird nesting sites and fur
seals on
an Ocean Boat Tour or take a
horse trek or an off road Adventure amongst the hauntingly beautiful rain
forest. Check out the craft people in their own environment
or catch the wonderful
sunsets from the beach. For an experience of early West Coast life visit
Shantytown where you too can successfully pan for gold.
